Comparisons to the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly are inevitable, and deserved, but there's less of a punk edge here and more of Pogues-y primal folk sing-along sound to my ear -- and as I read up that seems to be exactly what they're after. I'd imagine this plays really well in the dark, small bars of New England that serve Guinness and Bass from the tap, and often in the same glass. Good stuff.
