Teen Survives Using Reality TV Wilderness Skills

Teen Survives Using Reality TV Widerness [sic] Skills - ABC News:
A 14-year-old boy who found himself stranded on an Oregon mountain while skiing on New Year's Eve said he used skills learned from reality television to find his way out of the woods.
And I'm sure without having watched 'reality TV' he would've tried to jump in a frigid river or just flopped down and flailed uselessly on the ground.  (Look, I'm not saying his TV watching didn't help him, but gleaning a helpful tip from one doesn't justify the existence of something like Flavor of Love. Flavor of Love, of course, is entirely justified in its own right by featuring Flavor Flav. It's Jersey Shore that has has no justification, sucka.)
