Product Placement in History Texts is Where I Draw the Line

Cash-strapped school puts advertising on letters sent home to parents | ksdk.com | St. Louis, MO

It really does seem a clever way to bring in more money. I can't say I'd be very happy if I got a letter from my kids' school that had advertisements for Hooters in it, so I'm hoping the partnerships would be something I wouldn't be embarrassed to have my school's name associated with. I'm also a little concerned about how slippery the slope can be. Advertising to parents is one thing, but how much advertising to student's already happens in schools? My instinct is any amount greater than none is too much.
